Materials
- Chunky yarn (size 6)
- Crochet hook (6mm)
- Safety eyes (8mm)
- Yarn needle
- Plushie stuffing
- Scissors
- Stitch markers
Abbreviations
- MR - Magic ring
- CH - Chain
- SC - Single crochet
- BO - Bobble stitch
- INC - Invisible Increase
- DEC - Invisible Decrease
- ST - Stitch
- SL ST - Slip Stitch
- FO - Finish Off
Directions
Legs
Make two legs then join them to make the body.
With white yarn:
Leg 1
- R1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
- R2: [2sc, inc] x2 (8)
- SL ST and FO
Leg 2
- R1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
- R2: [2sc, inc] x2 (8),
- chain1 then sc into any st of the first leg to join
Body + Head
Start body after making two legs
- R1: 8 sc, sc in chain, 8 sc, sc in chain (18)
- R2-3: sc in every st (18)
- R4: 5 sc, 1BO, 6 sc, 1BO, 5 sc (18)
- R5-8 (4 rows): sc in every st (18)
- Add stuffing and safety eyes between rounds 6-7 (if not using felt)
- R9: [sc, dec] x6 (12)
- R10: dec x6 (6)
- FO and sew closed
Ears x2
Changing colors is optional, this will give you the pink inside the ears.
Start with white yarn:
- R1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
- R2: [inc, sc] x2, inc, PINK sc (9)
- R3-4 (2 rows): WHITE 8 sc, PINK sc (9)
- R5: WHITE [dec, sc] x2, dec (5, skip last stitch)
- Leave tail for sewing
- Fold in half and sew bottom sides together to shape the ear
Tail
(Optional) This tail is large so that the bunny can stand on its own. Without the tail, it could lay flat instead.
With white yarn:
- R1: 8sc in magic ring (8)
- R2: sc in every st (8)
- SL ST and FO. Leave tail for sewing
Assembly
- Sew ears between rounds 1-2 from the top of the head, about 2 stitches apart
- Sew tail right above the center of the legs
- Add felt eyes, blush, and other accessories!
